Spring Fever - Part 1
This posting will be one of a three part series I'll be doing. I plan to use this as a layout for my spring and possibly summer shopping. The outfits were created in Polyvore and some of the items selected will be more budget friendly to suite my funds (lol). Although, I would;nt mind having a nice pair of yellow Louboutins! Anywho.. hope you enjoy!

Brown and Bourdeaux
Hello Loves! It's my first post of 2015. I enjoyed the holidays with family and hope you did the same.
It has been disrespectfully cold and we are supposed to be getting snow tomorrow. I decided to try out wearing layers as opposed to a big coat. Did it keep me warm? No! Did I look fab? Yes! LOL Enjoy!
Hat - F21
Sweater - F21( old)
Belt (old)
Fur Vest - H&M
Pants - H&M
Booties - Vince Camuto
Lip Color - Ulta #224 and MAC Brave mixed
Winter Wants
Winter is definately here and we have had one round of snow so far. Nothing serious but then again, it's just Jan. 13! With that being said, I've been "needing" (lol) these winter items. Sales have been pretty fierce lately because I know the spring stuff is getting ready to make waves on the racks. BUT... before they do, I would like to have a few of these items. Or all!

North Face are always a good idea when you're dealing with temps below 30 degrees! Nordstrom has a few on sale right now!

Hunter Rainboots ( These come in so many colors and you can get the inserted socks for added warmth. Im loving these red high gloss ones or navy)

UGG slippers (WHO doesnt look a comfy pair of slippers and as much as I love the boot the slipper will have me wearing it all day long in the house)

THESE.. not your traditional Ugg boot but I like that they're wearable in the snow unlike the other ones. A little rugged for some probably but I can work with these for sure.

Love this little knit hat with the kitty ears!
That is all!

Realistic 2015 Goals
Happy New Year! It's the 13th day of the new year, which means that we're halfway through this month already. The last few weeks of December I had already began to do a little reflecting about last year. The things I did and didn't do, the things that I did that I didnt like, and the things that I would change for 2015. The main thing was to keep a positive attitude about life in itself. Too many times last year, did I complain about things in my life. The lack of time, money, etc. No longer will I do that because I know that I am blessed to have all I have and to be thankful for the place Im in at that moment. I know I have the power to change things around me and the choices I make reflect that. I will stay away from negativity in all aspects because all that does is just bring you down. I wont go into specifics because this post is just meant to be a short note for my goals.
Stay away from negativity and having a positive outlook (things could be a lot worse!)
Making better financial decisions
Incorporating healthier food choices ( it'd be silly to say Im gonna stop eating fast food, because I know I honestly wont)
Finish my degree (I'm 4 classes away)
Travel more ( even if I cant get to Paris, I'll be traveling at least 3-4 times this year)
Potty train my son (YES.. this is a goal because he will be 3 this year!)
Spend more time with my husband (this is a struggle because we sometimes dont have time without the kids but we are willing to sacrifice)
Again, just a short list of some main things I've been working on. I have other things that I will be doing as well, but mostly those are at the top of my list. Each of these things will help me stay focused on what's really important in my life.

Christmas Decorations
I did say this blog would have some decorating as well as fashion. Here are a few pics of my tree and some of the decorating I did. Although I had a different vision for my tree this year, I ended up doing some of the natural colors from last year. This year I wanted to do black, white, and silver but time got away from me and I didn't have a chance to look for those colors. Nevertheless, I think it turned out nice.
I tried to do a Winter Wonderland type theme here 😊. I bought the fake snow and the pillow says I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas. I also bought the branches and just put lights around it.
Looks a lot better with the lights on. Scooby makes his debut, and he looks like he was placed to sit right there, but he wasn't lol!
The lettering Faith, Believe, and Love were a DIY project. They were wood and I purchased from Michaels. I had my daughter spray paint them and just hung them on the tree. The JOY was purchased at the Dollar store. They have great inexpensive "expensive" looking ornaments.
Deer head was found at HomeGoods. The owl was a gift from my aunt last year. I guess I have a Woodland Friends theme going on too!
Another DIY project. I simply bought $1 store ornaments and strung them together and tied around the garland. The pics were taken with my IPad so they're not the best quality but all in all I think I did okay and I kept it pretty minimal this year.

New Blog Alert
Hi Everyone!
I am officially a contributing writer/blogger for DMVNaturals blog. It's pretty exciting to be a part of something like this and I wanted to share this with you all. The lovely Lauron Thomas who is creator of the blog graciously allowed me to become a part of her team and I couldn't be happier. Please stop by and/or subscribe to the blog. It features posts mainly about hair, but other things as well. There are other ladies that contribute also so we would all really appreciate the support and do not hesitate to spread the word!!!

Weekend Happenings In NYC
Also yesterday marked a historic sequential date of 12/13/14. How cool is that?!
In keeping with the ending to this post here is what I wore. After deciding that the cold weather didn't matter to me, I
chose to wear a skirt and I'm glad I did!
The skirt and crop are both from F21. Booties are from Charlotte Russe(old) and coat is from Sheinside. Clutch is from Marshall's. Lip color is MAC Diva.
